Allied Engineering have got an order from Tetra Pak Pakistan Lahore

November 2009

Allied Engineering have got an order from Tetra Pak Pakistan Lahore in November 2009 7. 6 MW power plant & 2500 KVA CAT UPS.The is comprising of 1XC175-16 (2.4 MW) , 2XD3612 (2.6 MW) , CAT UPS 2X1000 KVA & 1X500 KVA on turnkey basis. The plant will operate on diesel with an option of running 2X2.6 MW gensets on heavy fuel oil in future. This will be first C175 of 2~4 MW class high speed diesel genset & CAT UPS with state of art " fly wheel technology " installation in Pakistan. The equipment is for Tetra Pak new facility which is under construction at Sundar Industrial area ,Lahore .

This will be the largest factory of Tetra group in the world having 140,000 sq. meters land size with covered area of 35,000 sq. meters. The project completion period is Dec 2010. Tetra Pak is one of the leading group in packaging , manufacturing of food industries equipment. SHABBIR TILES & CERAMICS LTD. UNIT 2 POWERED BY CAT GAS GENSETS (9.46 MW)

Shabbir tiles & Ceramics Ltd. (House of Habib group) is one of the leading tiles manufacturers in Pakistan. A brand new unit 2, state of the Art Porcelain floor tiles plant has started its trial production as of 17th December, 2008. The project has been completed in a record time of 11 months, with an investment of Rs. 2.0 Billion. The power to the factory is being supplied by 5 Caterpillar G3516C gas gensets, each 1.6 MW power rating (total 8.0 MW). During maintenance, 1 Caterpillar D3516 diesel genset with power rating 1.46 MW will be used as standby.

Allied is currently involved in this type of application at Karam Ceramics factory in Karachi, where 3 Caterpillar G3516A gas gensets, with power rating 1.0 MW, have been in operation for several years. Recently, Karam Ceramics have added 1 Caterpillar G3516C genset, increasing their total power rating to 4.6 MW.

Shabbir Tiles Unit 2 project is a combined heat & power (CHP), having approximately 85% plant efficiency. Engine jacket water heat will be used to run absorption chillers to cool the office block and exhaust heat for heating thermal oil for factory processes. Allied has done the project on turnkey basis, excluding civil works. Shabbir Tiles Unit 1 project is currently running on this type of CHP since August 2008.

The operation & maintenance contract of the plant has also been given to Allied Rental Modaraba, a subsidiary of Allied Engineering. With this expansion, the regular production capacity of 3.0 million sq. meters per annum will be increased to 9.0 million. The project will provide employment opportunities to over 3,000 people.

The Caterpillar G3500C series gas engines are now being considered as an industry trade mark, with state of the art technology that has proven performance, low operation and maintenance cost, excellent reliability & superior fuel efficiency in genset sizes in their class.

GAS ENGINES PAKISTAN - ALLIED RECEIVED THEIR BIGGEST SINGLE ORDER WORTH USD 25 MILLION...

 

Allied received their biggest single order worth USD 25 million for supplying a turn key Power Plant of 44 MW to Lucky Cement situated near Karachi.
The project includes supply, installation and comissioning of 5 Nos. Caterpillar gas genset model 16GCM 34 each rated 5.917 MW and 2 Nos. Heavy Furnace oil genset model 16 CM 32 each rated 7.230 MW.

The project is planned to be comissioned in March 2006.

CATERPILLAR EARTHMOVING MACHINES CONTRIBUTE IN PAKISTAN'S REQUIREMENT TO MEET CEMENT PRODUCTION AND GENERAL / ROAD CONSTRUCTION NEEDS.

In the preceding years cement requirement has increased tremendously, this is not only due to the local needs for infrastructure development but also due to the huge increase in export of cement to various other countries. To keep in pace with the ever growing demand of cement, cement companies in Pakistan are either increasing / enhancing the production capacity of their existing plant or setting-up an entirely new plant.

Who else, other than Caterpillar the global market leader who tailor's its equipment for various segments such as cement production, infrastructure, road construction, agriculture can fulfill various segment demand.

Below are the few brief details of Caterpillar machines, recently sold by “Allied” to various cement and constructions companies.

DG Khan Cement Co. Ltd. (Khairpur Project)
Allied received one of the biggest single order from D.G.Khan Cement for Construction Equipment worth 11.67 Million Dollars.The total machines in this deal are Twenty Three in number and consist of three Front Shovels 385-C which are the largest Front Shovel in Caterpillar Family , Wheel Loaders 988H, Off Highway Trucks 775-E ,Track Type Tractors D9R, Track Type Tractor D8R & Wheel Loaders 966H.

These machines will fulfill the new DGKCC (Kalar Khahar) factory's entire raw material handling requirement for producing around 6800 tons/day cement.

Bestway Cement Limited
Allied also received the order from Bestway Cement of Caterpillar Largest Front Shovels to be used as their main production equipment for new facility it consists of three Front Shovels/Excavator 385-C ,this reflects the confidence of customer on our brand "Caterpillar".

Lucky Cement (Karachi Project)
Allied has supplied Four units of Track Type Tractor model D8R and Two Units of Wheel Loader 980GII to Lucky Cement. Four units of Wheel Loader model 966H has also shipped for customer's new Karachi plant.

Habib Rafiq (Pvt.) Ltd.
Allied has sold fourteen units of Motor Grader Model 140H and Four units of Wheel Loader model 938GII to Habib Rafiq (Pvt.) Ltd., These machines are being used by the customer on various ongoing road construction projects in Pakistan.
